How does a solar power diverter work?
A solar power diverter uses a measurement of the available solar surplus and adjusts the power sent to a compatible resistive load, such as an immersion heater. The available surplus changes with solar production and electricity use elsewhere in the home.
PV immersion controller for hot water
When used with a hot-water cylinder, a PV immersion controller sends surplus photovoltaic electricity to its heating element. The suitable router depends on the heater, its thermostat, the electrical supply and the available measurement method.
From 1 to 4 proportional outputs
Berdolo offers assembled routers with 1, 2, 3 or 4 outputs. Each output is proportional: the power delivered is adjusted to the available solar surplus.
F1ATB-compatible versions are available, depending on the model and configuration. Measurement options include Shelly energy meters and current sensors.
An automatic version without Wi-Fi is also available.
